Kyle Snipes enters his 14th season as the Head Girls’ Varsity Coach in 2022-23, and is also the Communications Coordinator at St. Pius X. In his first 13 seasons, the Golden Lions are 270-107 and have captured two state championships and four region titles. St. Pius X advanced to the second round of the state playoffs for the fourth consecutive year en route to a 19-11 record. The 2021 campaign saw St. Pius X finish 19-3 and region runners-up. In 2020, the Golden Lions finished 21-8, won the Region 8 championship and advanced to the second round of the state playoffs. The 2019 squad finished 14-15, was region runner-up and advanced to the second round of the state playoffs. Advancing to the state tournament for the eighth straight year in 2018, the Golden Lions finished 14-12. In 2017, St. Pius X finished the year with a 12-17 record and qualified for the state tournament. In 2016, the Golden Lions finished 17-11 and advanced to the state playoffs for the sixth straight year. The 2015 campaign concluded with a 27-4 record and an Elite Eight appearance in the state tournament. The Golden Lions also finished 18-0 in Region 6-AAAA, the fifth consecutive undefeated region season, including a string of 75-consecutive regular season region wins dating to January, 2010. In 2013 & 2014 the team finished with identical 30-3 records and back-to-back AAA state championships. The 2012 campaign finished with another state playoff appearance and a 24-5 record, including a second consecutive undefeated season in sub-region play. In 2011, St. Pius X finished 25-6, capturing the Region 5 championship by defeating AAA No.1-ranked Columbia and advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time in four seasons. In his first season, the Golden Lions finished 18-9. Snipes joined St. Pius X after coaching stints with the women’s basketball programs at Georgia Tech, UNC Wilmington and Georgia State. Prior to coaching women’s basketball, Snipes spent five years on the men’s side at Wake Forest and Erskine College. During his time in Winston-Salem, the Demon Deacons captured the 2000 National Invitation Tournament Championship. He has also mentored nine All-Conference players in his career. He is a member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association High School All-American Selection Committee. Snipes earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Wake Forest University, where he was a student manager with the men’s basketball team which won the 1995 ACC Championship. He completed his Master of Education degree from Liberty University. Snipes is a native of Hillsborough, NC and is married to the former Melissa Jenkins of Houston, TX. The couple has three daughters, Megan (13), Molly (11) and Mary Mason (8).

Tiffany Stone enters her 11th season with the Golden Lion varsity in 2022-23. Stone is a former All-Colonial Athletic Association student-athlete from William & Mary. She earned her bachelor’s degree from William & Mary in 1992. Stone works with Coca-Cola as the Director of On-Premise Strategy.

Jasmine Carter begins her third season on the bench for the Golden Lion varsity. Carter scored over 850 points in her two-year career with St. Pius X, helping to lead the team to back-to-back state championships in 2013 and 2014. She signed with the University of Georgia and played there for one season before being injured. She finished her playing career at Johnson C. Smith and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies.
