Coach Egan is starting his 11th year coaching at St Pius X. As an alumni of the class of ’85, Billy was fortunate to play for legendary coach George B Maloof. After graduating from SPX, he went on to play wide receiver at Presbyterian College. Billy has coached football for ten years in the Gwinnett Football League at the Collins Hill Athletic Association. Previously, Billy served several years as the President of the SPX Athletic Association.
In November, he will celebrate his 29th anniversary of marriage to his wife Wendy. Their two sons Reed (’16) and Connor (’19) are SPX graduates. Reed is a UGA graduate pursuing a career in Sports Data Analytics while Connor, having graduated from UGA as well, is pursuing his Masters in International Business at the University of South Carolina.

A 2012 graduate of St. Pius X, James played offensive tackle under Head Coach Paul Standard and position coach Chad Garrison, earning 1st Team All-State offensive linemen as a senior. Coach Mills played college football at Fort Valley State University and is currently an insurance broker. He lives in Roswell with his wife Tyeisha

Coach Kirkland is an Atlanta native, and attended Cross Keys and Hart County High Schools where he played football, wrestled, and threw shot and discus. Craig went on to pursue athletics and academics at Clemson University where he earned a BS in Business Management in 1988. As a college athlete, Craig played football (defensive line) at Clemson University 1982-1986 and was fortunate enough to participate in both the 1982 and 1983 ACC Championship seasons. After returning to Atlanta, Craig began coaching with the Atlanta Colts Youth Association in 2004. He coached each age of tackle football including intraleague Peewee to the 8th grade Colts travel team. During his time with the Atlanta Colts Youth Association, Craig participated as an assistant coach, head coach and board member. He enjoyed many championships with all ages and wrapped up his time with the Colts being named Northwest Georgia Youth Football League’s Coach of the Year 2021. Beginning with middle school sports, Craig and his wife Kelly watched their three boys (Hunter-2017, Davis-2019, James-2022) play football, wrestle, and run track for the SPX Golden Lions 2013-2022. Today, Hunter is working for a US Congressman in Washington D.C. Davis attends Georgia Southern University and is majoring in Construction Engineering, and James is beginning his academic studies at University of Georgia

Coach Arriola is starting his fourth year of coaching at St. Pius X. Originally from California, Kyle graduated from Santa Margarita Catholic High school where he played football all four years and went on to graduate from University of Arizona in 2012. Kyle comes from a line of coaches where he has assisted his father coach football in California for the last 10 years. Kyle has a passion for coaching and developing as he runs his training program with his current employer and looks forward to continuing developing people outside of work and in the community. Kyle has just celebrated his 5th year of marriage with his wife Leah and they have 2 daughters, Camila (3yr) and Isla (1yr).

Coach Rogowski is beginning his second year as a coach in the St. Pius X Football program. Originally from Indiana, he received an Engineering Degree from Purdue University and an MBA from Duke University. He has been coaching baseball and football teams in the Atlanta area for the last ten years. He is currently a board member for the St. Pius X Athletic Association. He lives in Peachtree Corners and has been married to his wife Meg for over twenty years. They have two children, Leah (SPX Class of 2024) and J.J. (SPX Class of 2026)

Coach Nerbonne is starting his second year coaching with the Golden Lions. He is originally from Michigan and moved to Georgia in 1994. Coach Nerbonne has a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University and has been employed with the Cobb County Police Department for 30 years. He coached football and baseball in Hapeville for over ten years. Matt and his wife, Christie, have been married for 21 years and they have two children, Brendan (SPX Class of 2023) and Alex (SPX Class of 2026).
