Any course that makes my 9-iron go 180 yards is a great course....I think Bill Murray would agree!
Q-School Starts on Monday, 2/13!
Please be sure to check in with Coach Cook if you have any questions regarding the Tryout/Q-School procedure, transportation, club shipping, etc. Assignments for the Monday Screening Session at The Hooch will be posted on the door to room 302 on Monday, 2/6 as will tee-times for Round 0 candidates, so be sure to check in there.
Boys Golf Team: Q-School Meeting on Tuesday, 1/17!
If you are trying out for the Spring 2017 Boys Golf Team, you need to find a way to be in room 302 with Coach Cook and all other interested parties from 3:05p to approximately 3:30p (unless you're in a winter sport).
The Golden Lion Linksters ROAR for:
Drew Owens (class of 2015) - Won the National Minority Collegiate Championship as a freshman at Tennessee State University!
Chris Harris (class of 2014) - Qualified again this year for the USGA Men's Amateur Championship; Chris also reached the quarterfinals of the GSGA Men's State Amateur Championship at Capital City-Brookhaven!
Daniel McKenzie (class of 2018) - The GHSGCA All-State Team awardee also represented the USA in the Colonial Cup Matches in England recently!
Jack McDonald and Stephen Kinsel (both class of 2019) - both rising Sophomores finished in the Top 20 of the Atlanta Junior Golf Grand Championship at TPC Sugarloaf in the Open Division! Rising Junior Joey Rufolo finished 8th in the Club Championship at Eagles Landing.
Max Muenchen (class of 2019) notched his first Top 4 finish on the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour at Berkeley Hills in July!
