UCA provides an opportunity to students to work for greater unity and understanding in a racially and ethnically-diverse school community, and it is open to all students. Activities include developing the annual Martin Luther King Program, providing a forum for students to discuss racial or ethnic problems in the school community, participating in the Martin Luther King parade, observance of Black History Month, developing an annual assembly program on racial justice and/or cultural diversity, creating additional activities that promote unity through appreciation of diversity within the school, plus service projects in the Atlanta metropolitan community.
