Gary
Schmitt, a certified atheltic trainer, is in his seventh year
as the school's full time trainer. Before coming to St. Pius
X, Gary worked with world renowned orthopedic surgeon James
Andrews in Birmingham, Alabama. He has also worked preseason
camps with the Atlanta Falcons. Originally from Wisconsin,
Gary earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin
Oshkosh and then moved south to earn his Master's degree at
Eastern Kentucky University.

Dr. Cullen is one of ten children and was raised in Reading , PA. He received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University and his medical degree from Temple University. He received his Orthopaedic training at the University of Cincinnati and completed an extra year in subspecialty training after residency in sports medicine at Cincinnati Sports Medicine. He has been in practice in Georgia for six years and recently opened his own practice, Georgia Sports Medicine. He was honored by the Southeastern Athletic Trainers Association as Sports Medicine Person of the Year in 2001 for his involvement with high school sports. He and his wife Michelle have four children; Isabelle, 4; Davis, 3; Lillian, 2; and Ford, 7 months. |
